Large salary for Hurd at Oracle
    Seattle Bulletin
    Thursday 9th September, 2010

Oracle has promised its newly appointed President Mark Hurd a base salary of $950,000 a year.

The former Hewlett-Packard CEO, who was ousted by HP last month, will also be eligible for a bonus of as much as $10 million.

In fact, the largest parcel of Hurd’s pay package will be the 10 million stock options Oracle plans to grant him.

Hurd’s options will have an exercise price equal to the market value of the shares on the date they are granted.

The Securities and Exchange Commission now has the details of the new wage package on file, along with details of other large salaries and bonuses granted by the company.

Founder and CEO Larry Ellison, among the world’s richest people, drew a pay package worth roughly $70 million for the company’s most recent fiscal year.
